A ghostwriter is a professional writer who is paid to write books, articles, stories, reports, or other texts that are officially credited to another person. The division of work between the ghostwriter and the credited author varies a great deal.
In some cases, a ghostwriter is hired to publish and edit a rough draft or a mostly completed manuscript. In this case, the outline, ideas and much of the language in the finished book or article are those of the credited author.
In other cases, a ghostwriter does most of the writing, using only concepts and stories provided by the credited author. In this case, a ghostwriter will do extensive research on the credited author or their subject area of expertise.
There is one web site out there that has a funny name, The Pink Squirrel Recipe Club. Jenny was raised in a small Pennsylvania Town, growing up by a quiet Lake, and spending her summers with a flashlight and Nancy Drew Books. She enjoys growing plants and Old English Sheepdogs. Her favorite quote, "I love the challenge of writing mystery/suspense novels and listening to the voices of my Characters as they tell their Story through my pen."
Here’s the Synopsis of the author’s novel, THE CHAIN LETTER …
(It can be gotten for free with the code word “Marty” if you email Jenny thru the Pink Squirrel Site.)
The Chain Letter is a mystery-suspense thriller, laced with intrigue and unexplained deaths trailing our heroine – Marty Hanover. The Chain Letter's morbid mystique, which Marty desperately tries to resolve, is either a fatal curse or her deliverance.
Marty is an attractive young woman, who along with five friends, receive a Chain Letter in the mail during their high school senior year - 1958. They brush it off as a joke until Marty's boyfriend is the first victim and dies in a freak accident.
As the story unfolds into Marty’s adulthood, she unexpectedly crosses paths with the same five classmates and discovers their tragic outcomes. There were six Chain Letters sent out. Marty finds herself caught in a perplexing web of murders and she is number six on the list….
This story is an odyssey of action that finds Marty encountering paranormal spirits, a wild bear attack, a mysterious sea creature, witches, a haunted mansion, and the individual mysteries of her five friends’ deaths. She also uncovers the secrets of WIRE HOUSE and the Black Nursery, a place where family planning was done the old-fashioned way. Marty brings closure to many of the events as the Chain Letter puzzle is solved.
While unraveling the demise of her high school friends, Marty also finds her soul mate and experiences a few lighter moments (as counterpoint) that make this story best described as a roller-coaster ride of suspense, humanistic drama, and supernatural kismet.
