Alton's potato soup
Ingredients/Compontents of Alton's potato soup recipe
- or 6 cups potatoes cut into 1/2 inch cubes - 5 item
- cups vidalia or Texas sweet onions, chopped - 3 item
- Water to cover onions and potatoes - 1 item
- or 6 bouillon cubes - 5 item
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- butter or margarine - 4 Tbsp
- pint half and half - 1/2 item
- sour cream - 2 Tbsp
How to make alton's potato soup
Bring potatoes and onions to a boil in salty water. Add bouillon cubes and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. Remove half of the potatoes and onions and put through a blender or use mixer. Return to pot and add seasonings, butter, half and half, and sour cream. Heat but do not boil.
