- flour 2
- soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- softened shortening - 1 c
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- firmly packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- pkg - 12 oz
- chopped nuts - 1 c
How to make butterscotch chip cookies
Sift together flour, soda and salt. Set aside. Combine shortening, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and water; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in butterscotch morsels and coarsely chopped nuts. Drop by well rounded 1/2 teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
