- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- egg, well beaten - 1 item
- vegetable oil for frying - 1 item
How to make chinchin nigerian cookies
Rub the butter into the flour. Add the sugar and nutmeg; mix well. Mix in the beaten egg, forming a stiff dough. Knead until smooth. Roll out on a floured board about 1/4-inch thick. Cut crisscross fashion, forming small diamond shapes. Heat oil to 350° to 375°. Fry the dough until it browns evenly. Drain on paper towels.
