- butter - 1/2 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- flour - 1 c
- sugar
- butter, melted - 1/2 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- eggs, slightly beaten - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
How to make chocolate fudge pecan pie(for 9-inch pie)
Filling:1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. butter, melted1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips3 eggs, slightly beaten1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped pecans To Prepare Crust: Place butter and cream cheese in mixing bowl. Blend together until softened. Work in flour until mixture forms a dough (if ingredients are too chilled, mixture will be crumbly. Place over pan of warm water to make process go faster) on lightly floured board; roll out dough to fit 9-inch pie pan. Press well. Bake at 350° for about 10 to 12 minutes or just until crust begins to get firm.Meanwhile, in top of a double boiler, combine sugar, melted butter and chocolate chips. Place over simmering water stirring until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth and creamy. Add eggs, vanilla and pecans, mixing well. Pour into partially baked crust. Return to oven. Bake at 350° for about 40 minutes or until the filling has set. Serve warm, but not hot, with whipped cream or serve chilled. Garnish with rosettes and pecans.
