Chocolate parfaits
Ingredients/Compontents of Chocolate parfaits recipe
- cocoa - 1/4 c
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cold milk - 1/2 c
- hot milk, scalded 2
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- heavy cream, whipped or 1 pkg - 1 c
How to make chocolate parfaits
In 2-quart saucepan, combine cocoa, cornstarch, sugar, salt and cold milk. Stir until smooth. Gradually add hot milk, stirring constantly. Heat over medium-low heat. Stir constantly until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes. Cool; stir in vanilla. Place layers of pudding and whipped cream or topping mixture in parfait glasses to serve. Makes 6 servings.
