Ingredients/Compontents of Cream of broccoli soup recipe

  • butter - 6 Tbsp
  • finely chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
  • flour - 5 Tbsp
  • chicken broth - 1 c
  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • frozen chopped broccoli, defrosted - 10 oz

How to make cream of broccoli soup

Combine butter and onion in 2-quart casserole dish. Cook at High for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. Blend in flour. Gradually add broth, milk, salt and pepper; stir until smooth. Cook at medium heat for 8 to 9 minutes or until soup is slightly thickened. Stir occasionally. Add broccoli and puree in batches in food processor or blender. Put broccoli into casserole dish. Cook on Medium for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring once.
