- butter - 1 c
- powdered sugar 1
- egg - 1 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour 2
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- cream of tartar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
How to make danish holiday butter cookies
Cream butter. Add sugar gradually and continue beating until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients. Gradually add to creamed mixture and mix until thoroughly blended. Shape dough into 2 balls and chill overnight. Roll and cut into desired shapes. Bake in a 400° oven until lightly browned on greased cookie sheet.
