- butter or margarine 4
- all-purpose flour 4
- can reduced-sodium chicken broth - 1 1/2
- chopped broccoli - 1 c
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- cubed, fully cooked ham - 1 c
- whipping cream - 1/2 c
- dried thyme - 1/8 tsp
- shredded Swiss cheese - 3/4 c
How to make ham 'n' swiss soupIn a saucepan, melt butter; whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually add broth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add the broccoli and onion; cook and stir until crisp-tender. Add the ham, cream and thyme; heat through. Stir in the cheese until melted. Yield: 2 servings.
