Ingredients/Compontents of Icebox rolls recipe
- milk - 1 qt
- shortening Snowdrift - 1 c
- sugar - 1 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
- flour - 2 qt
How to make icebox rolls
Heat milk, shortening and sugar to boiling point (do not boil). Set aside until lukewarm. Dissolve 1 package yeast and 1 quart flour in the milk mixture. Set in warm place to rise for about 2 hours. Add second quart of flour and place in the refrigerator or let rise and punch down. Put 3 pinches of dough together in a muffin cup and let rise for 2 hours. Bake at 450° for 25 minutes in gas stove. If electric, bake at 400° for 25 minutes.
