- Crisco - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- eggs, unbeaten - 2 item
- nuts - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
How to make iowa butterscotch cookies
Cream Crisco and sugars; add eggs, nuts and vanilla. Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder together. Stir into batter and mix well. Divide batter in half and shape into 2 rolls. Refrigerate overnight. Slice in 1/4-inch slices and place on greased and floured cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
