- shortening - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- coconut - 1 c
- plain flour - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- oatmeal - 1 c
- orange slice candy, chopped - 1 c
How to make orange slice cookies
Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; add coconut. Mix and add flour, salt, soda and baking powder. Add oatmeal and candy pieces. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen.
