Ingredients/Compontents of Sweet pickles recipe
- small cucumbers - 50 item
- vinegar - 3 c
- water - 1 c
- sugar - 2 c
- mixed spices - 1 item
How to make sweet picklesCover cucumbers in salt water overnight (1/3 cup salt to each quart water). Drain and dry.
Boil vinegar, water and sugar in aluminum preserving kettle for 10 minutes or until clear. Add cucumbers and let stand over low heat until they lose their green color.
Place 1 teaspoon mixed pickling spices in bottom of each sterilized jar. Add pickles. Cover with hot syrup and seal.
